Bethany Earrings

$28.00

Let me preface this by saying: she may kill me for this.

When I first joined Facebook, I was delighted to discover that I had six cousins I never knew existed. One of them was Jim — who quickly became important in our family because he had season tickets for the Ottawa Senators and, with great kindness, offered to take James to one game every year. So off we went to Ottawa annually for this grand event.

During those trips, I got to know and love his daughter, Bethany. We bonded over writing and books, and she even invited me to her school to speak to her writing group. My imposter syndrome was feral that day, but it was wonderful.

I’ve watched her grow from a hilarious, chaotic teenager into a married woman and the mother of an adorable daughter.

And then there’s the photo — the one on Jim’s page that might be one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. Bethany and her brother Jamie at the Tulip Festival: she’s dressed as a tulip, he’s dressed as a soldier, and it is painfully obvious that neither of them chose these outfits. Their faces are pure annoyance, pure comedy, pure childhood indignation.

Here are the Bethany Earrings!

Stainless steel, hypoallergenic stainless steel

A bit of understated floral for your wardrobe!
