Jennifer Necklace
On my first day of Grade 9, there was a pretty girl sitting off to the side of the class. I didn't know her. I completely ignored her.
Little did I know at that time, Jenny and I would be bridesmaids at each others' weddings, at the bedside after babies came, Aunties to children, so many movies, TV shows, and HP book releases, moving, Christmases, a lot of hilarious silliness, coping together with narcissists and general idiots, and endless conversations about NOTHING.
One time, we in Las Vegas together. The circumstances of this trip are not relevant to the story. We did a lot of shopping on this trip. During this fun time, we came across the Tiffany store in one of the shopping areas. I had never been in a Tiffany before so we had to go in.
Jenny saw a beautiful necklace, of course she did, it was Tiffany after all. It was white gold, chain, with five drops hanging. The drops were all gemstones of different colours. She fell in love with it. It was gorgeous. It was also several hundred dollars.
Jenny agonised over whether or not to buy this necklace, and finally decided not to, it was too expensive, etc etc. Further to this, I agonised for years afterwards, trying to find a less expensive reasonable facsimile to buy her for Christmas, birthday, whenever. I never found anything even remotely like it.
Until now. I decided to try to make one myself.
The chain is not white gold, it is silver. The gemstones are glass, but still very pretty. It is does not cost several hundred dollars.
Here's Jennifer! Called this, because she now goes by her full name, even though I never call her that, I am attempting to be somewhat respectful ha ha!!
Sterling silver, glass, stainless steel.
