Where out there are my other cat lovers?
I have been very fortunate to have had seven cats in my life. I loved them all, however, two are particularly special. Dara and Kona.
Dara was my childhood cat. She arrived in the family long before I hit the scene. She was my first love. She would hang around my carriage when my mother put me outside for a nap as a baby. She slept with me every night. I tried to teach her to read. She always knew when something was wrong. She hated my boyfriends, LOL!! She died when I was 16, it was one of the worst days of my life.
Kona arrived in my life when I was 25. She died when I was 45. She was a sweet, friendly cat. Whenever I had friends over, everyone would get a turn with her in their lap. She hated the boy cats that showed up after her, and she outlived them both. She also slept with me every night. Kona was a constant throughout many changes in my life, moving, getting married, having kids. She loved the babies.
