Interestingly, all my memories of Old Montreal happened decades after my family moved away.
I attended a wedding there while extremely pregnant, and was amused that everybody was looking at me and smiling. Rather sweet. The first time at really expensive restaurant where they show you the cut of meat for your approval.
A sibling summit in Old Montreal - we stayed at the Sans Souci and had a wonderful time. Also a lot of really good meals, including one in a restaurant that used to be a wartime bunker. Really cool.
A convention in Montreal and a hilariously crazy night with my dear friend Monique. Another great meal, among a lot of nonsense.
In ay case, this part of the city is BEAUTIFUL. So many old historic buildings and cobblestone streets.
