Peter Spence, my ancestor, came to Canada from Orkney in Scotland in 1800. He was a voyager for the Hudson's Bay Company, running around Northern Ontario. He married an Indigenous woman, and now, two hundred years later, here we are.
I'm convinced that this is where my love of winter comes from
I wonder if Peter ever curled on a frozen loch somewhere in Scotland, or in Canada?
