2011 trip to Disney.
I really had no desire to go to the Princess Tea. It was very expensive, and I was sure it would be underwhelming, ridiculous, and I would be allergic to the entire thing. Little did I know that it would end up being a highlight of my life as a mother, and for Juliet as a little girl.
So, we get there, and there is a short wait in a line until it starts. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a visit from the Head Chef. Never mind how she knew exactly which person to speak to, but she did. She asked about my allergies and how could she accommodate me appropriately 🤯.
Next, we get in the room that is an explosion of pink beauty. We are serenaded by a generic princess, a lovely young woman who is the MC of the event. At our table is two places set, with place cards. One is for me, and the other is marked as Princess Juliet of the Daisies. Every little girl received a similar title with a different flower. Also, every girl got a tiara, a bracelet, and a princess doll. 🤯
I was not allergic to a single thing on my special plate.
The princess MC spent her time going to every table to greet every girl personally. Lovely person.
Eventually the main attraction showed up. Princess Aurora! Juliet favourite Disney Princess. The video of this is truly hilarious, the look of adoration on her face is one I had never seen before or since. Princess Aurora was very kind and educational; there was a hearing-impaired little princess in the group, and we all learned how to sign the song that Aurora was singing. 🤯 Then, oh then, Princess Aurora selected Juliet to hold her hand while dancing around the room!! 🤯 I could see, from across the room, the major core memory forming in her head as this was happening.
