Every so often, I get a visit from a Bead Fairy.
Andrea, what the heck is a Bead Fairy?? It’s someone who’s purging their house and decides to pass along old jewellery, craft materials, or unused findings — straight to me. My sister is one of these magical creatures, and so is my friend from curling, Preeti.
A while back, Preeti left an unassuming box on my porch. What was inside blew my brains out.
Thousands of beads. Real pearls, real stones, and about one million Czech glass beads — which are not cheap. I won’t need to buy certain jewellery findings again until approximately the year 2080.
Preeti also asked if I could make some pieces with daisies.
Yes. Yes I can. The daisy is my favourite flower.
