Denise plays Second on our curling team. She takes out rocks that I don’t like, and will agree to a draw if I ask her. Also a beast at sweeping. She is an excellent Second, while not realising it. She had a fascinating career in social work, and I love listening to the stories. The bracelet represents the rocks thrown in a curling game, and she is the heart of the team.
